'Seashell' reminds me of vacation time and lots of fun. And this is a little space for my craft works or something I did in my spare time with lots of fun. Thank you for visiting.
I received a beautiful gift package from Sandyyesterday. She made the Rageddy dolls named Ann and Andy for the kids from the preschool I managed. That's truly beautiful gift that she made with lots of love and with children safety in mind. I've learned one important thing from her. She wrote this in her letter, "Thank you for the opportunity to give you this gift. I really enjoyed making them for you" Isn't that a beautiful sentence that came out from a humble warm heart that full of love? We often feel that people who received our gift is the one who should feel most happy and thankfully. That's actually not...We are the ones who should thankful first for the opportunity of giving and sharing they've given to us and made our heart glow with love. Sandy had even written this in her blog oneday.."Sometimes I don't understand why many people love to sell their crafty handmade things, I just love to give mine as a gift." I think she means that we should have a balance between selling and truly giving to other people. Celebrating her 100th upcoming post this month, she also plan to make a giveaway for her blog readers. Just click to her blog after this and see many of her beautiful crafty handmade projects of Rageddy dolls. Oh, how grateful I am for knowing and making friendship with many incredible persons here in blogland :)
Thank you, Sandy... Your Rageddy Ann and Andy dolls always be treasures in my heart and the kids.
I made this small pocket wall hanging (I don't know what exactly the name) for my daughter on her 14th birthday today. She can put her small things on the 3 pockets there so I hope it could minimized the messy in her room. She loves it!
I've got this beautiful mini quilt from Sandy !! I've just knew that she's my partner in the Spring Blooms Mini Quilt Swap sponsored by Quilting Gallery. It's really a treasure to have it :)
This is the detail of the angel. Sandy is coloring it before stitching. Stunning!!
Thanks a lot, Sandy! I'll keep and take a good care of your wonderful quilt.
As a matter of fact I've had all these wonderful gifts since 2 weeks ago. But with the 'hustle and bustle' of family activities related with my hubby's one month vacation here and renovation of my backyard terrace ... made the messy of our house and vacation feeling in all of us just like a perfect blending at this moment. My 2 other kids school holiday start this Saturday for 3 weeks while the little one has started his holiday a week ago so I prepare to have no time left to sit in front of my PC and playing with my fabrics and threads.
Look at the dutch lady and wind mollen pattern of these fabrics, lovely! and so glad to finally have all these tools :) Hope you all have a great day :)
Yesterday there was something beautiful in my mail box. I've got a handmade fabric postcard from Leah. She also add a mini card. She made a great tutorial of making fabric postcard here. It's amazing to see how she create quilted surface and embellished the fabric.
I love the tag line she put under the picture.
You want to see the back of the cards?
Thank you so much for the gift, Leah! I love them both.
I’m sooo… happy for the 2 things that happened to me at the end of this week.
First…I finally had done my quilting. Yes, it has done!! This is going to be the first “serious” Christmas present that I had ever made for my daughter. I know she will be really happy to have her first quilt blanket.
Second … my family received a Christmas gift from the Hospital management where my hubby works. You know what we’ve got? A beautiful batik bedcover quilting !! It’s very special because there’s a paper labeled in the casing that the quilt made by disabled peoples from a local non-profit health organization. I never expected I would have a present of beautiful batik quilt at the same time I finished mine. Gift exchanged by gift too?? Hmm… Christmas miracle has already happened to me :)
