My new quilted pot holders...for Christmas!

Living in a tropical country made me always feel Christmas should associated with snow...at least I decorated my home with some snowy touch :)

As usual I made simple modern design. I bought this red snowflake fabric last year.
I combined it with local unbleached cotton, my favorite fabric.

I quilted these pot holders or coasters....(yes, you can use them for both!).

I love the idea that actually I have 8 coasters :D since they're reversible.

Christmas Miracle

I’m sooo… happy for the 2 things that happened to me at the end of this week.

First…I finally had done my quilting. Yes, it has done!! This is going to be the first “serious” Christmas present that I had ever made for my daughter. I know she will be really happy to have her first quilt blanket.

Second … my family received a Christmas gift from the Hospital management where my hubby works. You know what we’ve got? A beautiful batik bedcover quilting !!
It’s very special because there’s a paper labeled in the casing that the quilt made by disabled peoples from a local non-profit health organization.
I never expected I would have a present of beautiful batik quilt at the same time I finished mine.

Gift exchanged by gift too??
Hmm… Christmas miracle has already happened to me :)

A Little Project for Christmas

While waiting for a special gift -dacron-batting-for-my first quilt- delivery from one of my best friend, Yuke Lee (I think I’m a little bit impatient to receive it and continue my sewing. Thanks, many thanks to Yuke… I really didn’t expect to have it as a present!!) I did this little Christmas project this afternoon for little girl. Since I don’t have little girl anymore then I had already given it to one of my friend’s kid. Seeing her expression maybe I would make another 20’s for the preschool kids as Christmas presents.
