Sew, Fun and Done!

For 2 days, Monday and Tuesday I could finish all these....
Can't believe it though! Because this is the first time, hehe..
This is the 'Circle Geese' block I made for Felicity from Sew & Bee Happy, my new bee group.
These 2 blocks will send to Debbie, one of my friend from the previous Bee group I attended, 'Bee Addicted'. A little behind to send her since I supposed to do that last month. Sorry, Deb!
Debbie will make a complete quilt from blocks we sent her and it will go to a fundraiser for children in foster care & protective custody there.

And the last one...
I sew something new for my shop :)

Truly yesterday was 'Sew, Fun and Done' day !

First Monday of October

Last week was not good days for me and family, especially about our health. One by one, get cough and fever. We spent the whole weekend just at home.
Today my kids are getting better except my hubby. He got very bad flu.
Staying at home all Monday morning with the little one..I tried to finished Rachel's Bee Addicted August block.
I'm a little behind on this :(
These are wonky houses for her.

My Philippines friend, Melanie sent me this package.
A bunch of beauty! She sent me a lot of 'I spy' fabrics too! So sweet of her.
Really glad to have it all :) Thanks, Melanie!

You can see our projects since last year here on Flickr.

Actually I made this folded bag last week. Already listed on my etsy shop since Sunday.

And...this handmade headband I made with jelly roll that I won from Christy, Sewplain. Lovely stripes isn't it? I made this cute small project after read one of Noodlehead's post about it. Thanks for the link :)

Thursday morning

What you usually do in the morning when everyone had gone out of home, except yourself? This cloudy morning I have a quiet moment for myself and I do what I loved.

Still have not showered and wearing pajama, I began to sketch a block for Craftalittle, one of my BEE Addicted friend. See her pretty fabrics....She want a pinwheels for her block this month.

Just a moment ago it turned out to be this 12,5 inches block. I hope Craftalittle like it. Still have leftover fabric and plan continue make more blocks for her because I'm still in the good mood.

String 'Bee Addicted' Blocks

Not much I can do while my boy has fever and common flu this weekend.
Days such like a mess :(
To lighten my mood I played with these string blocks. Almost all my bee friends had sent to me.

I calculated the small blocks and still need 24 to make a queen size quilt.
Pheww...I thought at first I've done. Really hope I can completed all this week.

String Blocks

It has been a quiet week for me lately. I mean "quiet" for other things, but busy and getting addicted in doing these colorful string blocks. I have sewn more than 40 now! Get other 20's from my Bee Addicted's friends. Don't know exactly how many blocks more to sew..

I really enjoy watching their colorful strings while cloudy and gloomy weather day outside.

Not easy going back to routines...

After the holiday and family vacation was over...it's not easy at all going back to routines.
The January's windy, rainy and cloudy weather made it almost a 'perfect' reason for doing nothing in exploring my creativity.

Today I try (oh..so hard!) to take pics of my string blocks. I sew some of them, but most of it comes from my Bee Addicted's friends.

Seeing their colourful blocks really get me motivated to continue the project.
thank you my Bee friends :D

Bee addicted - October 2009

Yes!! I've done the blocks for Melissa. Actually these are for the 2nd round - October blocks, but since I was late in receiving her fabrics so it's a little bit late also in mailing back. Hope she like the blocks.

Bee Addicted - October's Circle

After 2 days worried about my lil boy who got fever finally I've a little time left to play with Mellisa's fabrics. October is her month in our Bee Addicted and she asked us to make circles or triangles for her blocks. I chose the first.

Rearranging quarters of circles is really fun :)

My plan for tommorow... Sew them all.

My First Bee

These are the blocks that I made for Kyra. September is her month in our 1st round 'Bee Addicted' group. This is also my first bee and I do feel afraid to cut her fabrics at the beginning, but the Wonky House theme that Kyra had chosen finally made me want to make more than just one block for her.

Great Book , an Apron and Kyra's Fabrics

Ah, I'm not good in writing title :)

I'm still reading this great book. Can't wait to share something wonderful from it.
Really a great simple book for learning to simplify our life.

And this is the first apron I made for my boy for his cooking class yesterday. He was really excited to have it, that as soon as he arrived home after school he wore the apron again and pick my cooking tools for playing :)

And...this lovely fabrics I've got yesterday on my b'day from Kyra. These gonna be used for her blocks in our Bee Addicted group. Since this is my first bee, I think I'm a little bit nervous to cut it :( Kyra wants a wonky house for her quilt theme.
